I am a certified BC teacher, with years of experience teaching art to a variety of age groups. From small children and birthday parties to high school ceramic units and adults wanting to perfect their skills, I offer a wide range of individualized lessons. These include but are not limited to hand building, wheel throwing, trimming, glazing and kiln firing, as well as glaze making and development. Throw your first bowl or cup, pull handles for your mugs, create a plate for your next meal… If you have an idea for a piece or skill you would like to develop, I can help make it possible.

Wheel Throwing: Pottery Basics
Learn to throw your first pot or refresh the basic skills of the wheel with simple, reliable techniques.
Wheel Throwing: Intermediate Pots
Learn to throw a variety of shapes such as tumblers, serving bowls and plates. Wheel experience required.
Wheel Throwing: Trimming Pottery
Learn to trim leather-hard pots and create a foot, producing more professional-looking pottery.
Hand Building: Basic Pottery
Learn basic hand building techniques such as slab, coil, or pinching to create an item of your choice.
Hand Building: Intermediate
Do you have a design in mind? Let me give you the tools and guidance to make your creative masterpiece!
Hand Building: Sculptures or Tiles
Learn basic sculpting or tile making. This lesson can be customized to suit your needs and design ideas.
Pottery Glazing Techniques
Use a variety of techniques to glaze your creations. Must have pots bisqued from previous lessons.
Pottery Glaze Making
Learn the basic chemistry and the process to making your own glazes. Test tiles included to try out glazes.
